Establishing a collaborative effort between two organizations, securely sharing, contributing, and updating content using groups creates a formal connection, a partnership, between two or more organizations.
Collaboration builds trust between organizations so that content can be shar!. In a collaboration, partner organizations designate members as collaboration coordinators to represent their organizations. As an administrator with privileges to manage collaborations for the organization, you can choose to allow partner organizations to search for your members, view and add collaboration coordinators to manage collaboration groups, and view and create groups us! for collaboration. You can also choose to end a collaboration.
Members with the Administrator role can create
a collaborative collaboration by going to the Collaboration section of the Organization > Settings tab and entering the home URL for the collaborative ArcGIS Online organization. This action sends an invitation to the collaborating organization to accept and set up the collaborative collaboration. After the invitation is accept! by the organization, the following capabilities become available to members of both organizations (depending on configuration options and member roles):
Group members can easily view and define the organization affiliation (organization name) for external members in the group.
Members can search and invite members from use sms marketing for customer onboarding campaigns partner organizations when inviting members to a group (configuration selection)
Members from partner organizations can !it and update content such as web maps and applications in a shar! update group.
Members from partner organizations can easily find members with the collaboration coordinator designation and add them directly to groups and promote them to a group admin when appropriate.
Collaboration coordinators
Collaboration coordinators are connections between partner organizations and help navigate between members and content within a participating organization. after finishing our first year Members with the Facilitator or Administrator role can be designat! as collaboration coordinators be numbers for an organization. Members with the collaboration coordinator designation can be search! by partner organization members and add! directly to groups without requiring an invitation. This simplifies the group invitation process for these designat! members. Collaboration coordinators who are members of a group can be promot! to a group admin, giving them the ability to invite members to the group, add members, and change group settings. This allows members from different organizations to have control over group membership and group capabilities.
