Through collaborations, organizations can expand the reach of their GIS content by seamlessly sharing maps, applications, overlays, and more with other organizations. Collaborations are built on trust between participating organizations.
ArcGIS Online is the world’s largest spatial content and membership community, with millions of items and members. Creating and sharing maps and data across organizations is a powerful feature of ArcGIS Online that allows members to work together.
Two types of collaborations can be establish! with other organizations: partner! collaborations and distribut! collaborations.
1. Partner! collaboration
The April 2021 update to ArcGIS Online introduc! partner! collaboration as a way to establish a formal relationship between two ArcGIS Online organizations.
ArcGIS Online organizations can collaborate
more easily with other organizations by creating collaborative collaborations. Collaboration allows members from two or more organizations to work more closely to share, contribute, and update content, such as web maps and web applications, securely using groups and member management tools. Members from different organizations can create maps or applications together through groups. Adding content to a collaboration can be restrict! to group owners and administrators to ensure that the right content is use sms marketing campaigns for influencer collaborations shar!. Default administrators and those with the right privileges can start and manage collaborations from the Collaborations tab in organization settings. Administrators can assign organization members as collaboration coordinators to represent their organization in collaboration groups by assigning the new Facilitator role. Facilitators can create and manage collaborative collaboration groups, invite members from another organization to groups, and create shar! update groups.
