LinkedIn, with its increasing focus on interaction, is another player that underlines this trend on social media. There is a focus on other people, but not necessarily those you know. LinkedIn is increasingly about personal stories instead of dry company updates. In other words: entertainment and emotion. And beware: your timeline is determined by interaction. A post from a direct connection with few likes can easily make way for a post from a distant connection with a lot of interaction. That timeline has also long since ceased to be a representation of what your direct connections are concerned with.

A features in Canva yet? One of my favorites is Magic Edit. I have been inspired by several videos on (among others) TikTok about the possibilities this tool offers. I share them in this article, hoping to inspire you too!
1. Change outfit
Let’s say you have a really nice photo of yourself that you would like to use on LinkedIn. But there is one problem: the clothes you are wearing do not look professional.
Well, Magic Edit has the solution!
First click on ‘edit photo’ and select ‘Magic Edit’
Select your outfit in step 1.
In step 2, describe what exactly you want. You can put a prompt there like: professional outfit, blazer, black/white casual shirt, neat blouse or whatever europe email you see in your mind.
Then click on generate et voilà: Canva comes up with a brand new outfit. Check if it looks completely natural. If it doesn’t or if what you had in mind isn’t there, you can always click on ‘generate new results’.
And of course you can also do this the other way around: are you wearing a ‘boring’ T-shirt and would you rather wear a nice dress?
