To unlock a locked Windows user account, there are several methods you can try. Here are the steps and tips to regain access to your account.

Reset password

Often the easiest way to unlock a locked user account is to reset the password. If you have forgotten your password, you can do this from the login page. Simply click on “Forgot password” and follow the instructions. Make sure you have access to the email address or phone number associated with your account to receive the security codes.

Use administrator account

If you have another user account with administrator sms to data   rights, you can log in there and reset the password for the locked account. To do this, go to Control Panel, navigate to “User Accounts” and select the locked account to change the password.
